I have to admit I got a little teary this morning watching the Today show when they showed Lindsey Vonn hugging her husband and crying after she won the Gold Medal. So that led me to think about the Olympics, which led me to think of Canada. And today I'm doing something awesome and totally Canada related......
I'm going to a Tegan and Sara concert!!!!
So I'm guessing many of you have not heard of Tegan and Sara (I'm looking at you Sock) but they are an awesome Canadian Twin Sister Band that I really like. My husband bought me tickets to this concert as my Christmas Present and today is the day. So I'm heading out of work early and we are road tripping it up to Richmond, VA. My husband is actually working there tomorrow so we are staying for a couple days and hopefully going to some cool restaurants while we are there and doing some other cool Richmond stuff, once I figure out what that is.
In other Canada related news I would just like to send a shout out to my favorite Faux Canadian Teen Singing Sensation, Robin Sparkles (How I Met Your Mother is an awesome show). I think the opening ceremonies would have been much more entertaining, had they included her.
Ok, so I didn't actually make anything for this blog but whatever. I'm still tired from both Valentine's Day and Galentine's Day .
Any other notable Canadians you missed in the opening ceremonies?
Do you like Tegan and Sara (L-Fab, it's not my fault B didn't get you a ticket)?
What is awesome about Richmond, VA?

I went and listened to some Tegan and Sara and it was good stuff. I added them to my Pandora playlist. It's going to be hard to make it through the day without you at work to enertain me. Have much in Richmond!
YES, best show ever.
You know who was missing....Celine and Shania! I'm sure they could have rocked that place down to the ground! ;)
Wasn't Celine there? I didn't see it but I thought she was. When I think of Canada i think of a few things 1. Celine Dion, 2. Titanic, 3.Michael J Fox, 4. Jack Bauer and 24, 5. this super annoying customer that i have at work- he is from Canada and a few years ago his daughter was on the Canadian National Gymnastics Team and was an alternate for going to the olympics (2nd alternate apprently since the whole national team gets ranked and not all of them can go)- anyway, I was super excited because who doesn't love gymnastics! am I right JM? so i search and search and search and cannot find her name anywhere on the olymic stuff- finally my customer says, oh its rhythmic gymnastics... i am not knocking it- i am sure she is an amazing athlete but i just don't get super excited about that weird ribbon they twirl around.
one more thing- i think of Sarah McLachlan! she was at the olympics...
yeah rhythmic gymnastics doesn't cut it. do they even do roundoff's in rhythmic?
