If you didn't watch last week's ep of The Office, then you probably don't understand why C is for Suspension. Anyhow. Last week on The Office, Oscar made a Cookie Monster parody of Kevin. (This is just the whole episode from Hulu but the cookie monster part is at the beginning-you know you want to watch it.) Also last week I got a Kitchenaid Mixer from my Aunt. If you put those two things together it equals Office Thursday Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Monster Day. Yay! Something for everyone. One of my favorite lines from this episode was when Dwight was trying to figure out what show Sesame Street was and asked....."Is that the program where puppets live in the barrio?" Yes, Dwight, it is. Now on to the cookies.
My mom told me to wait until I got the Kitchenaid manual before actually using it but I decided to go ahead and live on the edge. I figured out how to put the pieces together so that it would mix something and I decided old fashioned chocolate chip cookies would be my best bet. Then I saw a recipe for Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies on the Nestle Tollhouse website and decided that would be even better. Plus I wanted to give my mixer the challenge of mixing in peanut butter to the batter which is pretty hard with a hand held mixer. I mean what is the point of me having this mixer if I'm not going to make her do hard stuff. So I made these cookies in honor of Kevin and all the mockery he had to endure last week. I also made them for Curly T because it was her birthday this past weekend. And apparently I made them for B and myself because we ate a lot. And I had a stomach ache all day on Sunday. Ooops. But whatever, they were good.
OK so go make some cookies and sit back and watch a new Office episode tonight as well as my new faves Community and Parks and Recreation and of course the always excellent 30 Rock.
So what's your favorite cookie?
Whose your favorite Sesame Street character?
***Random Update*** My favorite SS character was Snuffleupagus. I really like elephants when I was little so I think he kind of looked like one.
Ok, well C is for C-ya! (or cheesy, either way)
Oh and PS- a little piece of me died yesterday when I read this. Steve Carell to leave the Office after season 7? At least I have (at least) one more year. SC, I'll bake you some cookies if you play Michael Scott 4-eva.

I love Grover on Sesame Street! ...and Kermit too!
My favorite cookie is the kind that anyone else makes for me. Speaking of somebody else making me a cookie....where do you live again? :)
I live pretty much on the opposite side of the country from you!!
It's obvious that you had me in mind when you wrote this post seeing as Cookie Monster is not only my favorite Sesame Street character, but my favorite thing of all time EVER. Those cookies look amazing and I'm not even the biggest peanut butter fan. (I know...for shame.)
mm....cookies! I can't believe that about Steve leaving!?!
These look great! I love my stand mixer - it makes the world go round! ha I hope you enjoy yours - it is amazing how quickly you can whipped cream, meringue, etc.
Bad news...we are out of cookies...time to make some more.
