My favorite part of this week's How I Met Your Mother was the montage of Marshall testing everyone. I loved his soul patch. "Righteous hair tat, brotha". "We are living with a possum [or is it opossum]. Rex is violent and he hates us." I heard multiple people say that they don't like John Lithgow as Barney's dad after watching him in Dexter. Dexter is still on my tv watching to-do list so I don't know. But fun fact-I was in the same shoe store with John Lithgow once in NY. So now I'm just 2 degrees away from my alternate-reality husband Jason Segel.
The Event kind of sucks. But yeah I still watch it. Anyone else?
OK I think Modern Family was good this week but I am not positive. There was an insane lightning/hail storm on Wednesday night and the TV kept doing that thing where the sound would stop and beep a few times and say "there is a hurricane warning in these 20 counties" and then it would list all the counties, so I missed a few scenes in Modern Family. But as always, I love Phil Dunphy as much as he "love(s) Westerns, the bloodier the better, that's my favorite type of movie – that and anything set against the backdrop of competitive cheerleading." Because who doesn't love 'Bring it On: Fight to the Finish'?
I really liked Pefect Couples this week. I think it gets better and better each week. This is sad because I'm pretty sure they are replacing it with a Paul Reiser show in a couple weeks.
But The Office..........OH. MY. GOSH. The Office was amazing. I read the description of the episode and it said 'Michael decides to propose to Holly' so I was disappointed that they were giving it away. But it was awesome. Pam was awesome ("you've had 2 ideas today and one of them was great" and "holy BLEEP is that real"). Jim and Dwight were awesome (Professor Copperfield's Miracle Legumes). Michael was awesome ("they say 3 years salary"). Holly was awesome ("your wife becoming, will be I"). Everyone holding their candles was awesome. I'm going to cry during Steve Carell's last episode in a few week. But I will strive forward and keep watching.
Parks and Rec was again awesome (sauce). Just watch it people.
I haven't watched this week's 30 Rock yet because I was behind from last week. But I did find last week's reality TV themed episode to be delightful. "Ham."
Also I just found out that Fringe got renewed for next year! Yay. Fringe is definitely becoming my favorite drama but usually I forget about what happened the previous Friday by the time my weekly recap rolls around.
Alright. Now it's Friday and why haven't we talked about this yet?
My husband showed me this last Friday and I was like "uh, what was that"? But 2 hours later I was singing it. I'm most impressed by the fact that she 'won' the Internet back from Charlie Sheen. It was about time someone did. Plus she got to sit next to Bradley Cooper on Jay Leno and is donating the money (yes, this is actually making money) to Japan and her school. Ahhh, the things you can find on the Internet these days. My favorite part is the adult rapper who shows up in the middle.
Fun Fun Fun Fun.

I have decided either to grow a rightious hair tat or get a opossum in homage to Marshall...you pick. The Event needs to focus on a couple story lines and just write those well. They got to much going on, and none of it is all that good. Perfect Couples was very funny this week. I think this show is pretty good, and am sorely disappointed in NBC that they are looking to replace it with Paul Reiser. Paul Reiser??? Come on. The Office was good, I am a little nervous about how JM is going to take the next month with Steve C leaving. I see a breakdown coming.
Okay I need to start watching Fringe. I've heard nothing but good things about it!
Today is Friday and tomorrow is Saturday, then comes Sunday. Should I sit in the front or back? Fun fun fun fun.
Amazing lyrics...just amazing!
I love, love, loved THE OFFICE. MICHAEL and HOLLY perfect!!!!
The Micael/Holly proposal was so wonderful - it actually had me tearing me up.
You can count me in the club that cannot see John Lithgow as anything other than the Trinity Killer! But that just goes to show what an amazing actor he is...
I love your tv recaps so hard. I skimmed over your Office recap because we haven't watched it yet. I need to watch modern family on Hulu during lunch today.
I dont' know how I feel about John Lithgow as his Dad. The episode was good and I felt like I just wanted Barney to accept that family. Barney's pain is starting to show through a lot and I hope they go somewhere with that character arch. Sometimes his character development seems to just fall by the wayside.
I was going to start watching Perfect Couples, but I want to see if it's getting brought back next season. I'm tired of having shows taken away from me! I do realize that I'm not contributing to the ratings by not watching, but still.
Modern Family was pretty fabulous, I love Nathan Lane!
I've completely given up on the Event!
