Pay It Forward 2011-Handmade Stuff

I saw this post on Unofficial Mom's blog a few weeks ago and felt that it was right up my alley.  I mean 'making stuff is fun', right?  So now I'm going to pass it on to you.

Here's how it works:
• Be one of the first five people to comment on this post (or the first few to say you want to participate)
• You will receive something handmade from me within the next few months
• Post about Pay it Forward on your blog/social media site of choice (facebook/twitter, non-blog friends?), and send something handmade (perhaps a craft or baked good) to the first five people (or say 2 or 3) who comment on your post before 2011 is over. Keep the craftiness going!
• You can send anything, big or small, it just must be handmade.

So what do you guys think?  Anyone want me to send you something and then you pay it forward by sending stuff to other people?  No one said it has to be good handmade stuff.  Anyone can make a card or something, right?

For example here is some wonderful/not so wonderful stuff I've made....

Ok, well let me know!

I'm commenting but not commenting to be one of the first five. I don't think I would qualify b/c I'm a blog quitter or at least for now. Also would someone really want something I made? Really?

I love this idea. I love the idea of paying anything forward, but craftiness is fantastic.

I will definitely participate!

I think this is a fantastic idea! I would love to participate but I just can't right now. If my life would ever quiet down for a solid week I'd be all for it, I just don't see that happening. plus, the only thing I'm good at making is the baked goods and since I gave those up for lent, making cookies right now would just be cruel!

I dont have a blog so that won't work. However, the first five people who send me a hand written letter will receive something homemade that i stole from JM's craftroom. She will never know. For my free handmade item I would like to request a new Hobie shirt. Perhaps with an action pic.

Love this idea! Great combination of social media and handmade. Nice.

Found this post, and your blog, as it touches on some themes related to a program we're currently running that I think you'll also find interesting and worthwhile. It's called Reunite America. The idea is for people to go to our Facebook page and share their story of a special someone that they haven't seen in far too long. (Could even be a 'blog friend' who has been an important part of your life but that perhaps you haven't even met.) Then, we're going to make some of these reunions happen! Here's the link:

Hope you and your readers will check it out and perhaps share your stories. Thanks very much!

So, I am way behind in my MSIF reading ... but I guess since I'm not all too crafty right now, this late post is fine. I like the idea, I just wish I was craftier. And I LOVE the Jellisen line "Hobert" (aka, clothes for Hobie)
