Ribbon jewelry seems to be all the rage at J. Crew these days. I have been experimenting with Ribbon jewelry for the past couple weeks. I finally made something that I deemed acceptable to wear out this weekend....a purple and green bead and ribbon necklace.
I know that not everyone in the world is as big a fan of purple as I am, but what can I do? What do you think? Is this necklace stupid, ok, or super neat? I'm having mixed feelings on it right now. The bow might be too big but I made it big so I could alter the length of it depending on the size of the bow I tied. Also it might look a little like my dog's collar. Oh well.
Last week I also made this bracelet out of ribbon and wood beads. I have not actually worn it yet. What do you think? The bow is also a little big but its pretty hard to tie if it is any shorter.
So how do you feel about ribbon jewelry?

I think both are really pretty. I am a fan of blue so that bracelet is my fave!
I like the blue bracelet, it's awesome! I, personally, am not a huge fan of ribbon jewelry. I want to be, but idk... it just has to be with the right outfit and I am fashionally (is that a word? fashionably? no) challenged lol.
I like both of them. The necklace looked fab on you on Saturday. I think the bow on the necklace in the picture looks bigger than I remember though. I would buy a green or black bracelet like that from Jellison designs for sure.

It was supposed to be a necklace but then it accidentally became too short. I will try harder next time.
I would like a ribbon necklace with semi chunky beads- i feel like i need some chunky jewelry and i do not have any ribbon jewelry so i am up for trying it out.
I always have a hard time keeping the stuff tied and not coming un-done. I like what you made though!

B- while ur an amazing chaueffer - bow tier u are not. Bc honestly jmje, I like the neclace, the bow is just overwhelming. U could just tie a small bow (regardless of how long ur actully wearing the necklace) and then I think the neclace would have a much better look. But that's just my thought. And yay for u venturing into ribbon necklaces!!! MoYoung
B's fingers are just too giant to tie an appropriately sized bow.
I like the bracelet,not to sure about the necklace.
